Job Description
Role: Associate Engineer
Type: Full Time
Location: Pune
Experience: Fresher – 3 years
Responsibilities:
- Execute detailed Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies as per ISO 14040 & 14044 to evaluate environmental impacts of Eaton electrical products.
- Support Product Environment profiles (PEP) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) through life cycle assessment (LCA) and Design for Environment for New Product Introduction.
- Ensure compliance with climate and environmental regulations for Eaton’s portfolio of electrical products.
- Support development of modular LCAs and create a library of Eaton standard components and processes.
- Assist product engineering teams in calculating greenhouse gas emissions associated with the electrical product’s lifecycle.
- Evaluate compliance in accordance with eco-design related regulations (e.g., EU-ErP Directive).
- Understand customer requirements and communicate them to other Eaton teams.
Education and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemical, Mechanical, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 0-3 years in the areas of sustainability, product or technology development for industrial, electrical/electronic, or chemical products/processes.
- Sound fundamental engineering knowledge.
- Basic understanding of eco-design regulations.
- Understanding of Life Cycle Assessment standards (ISO 14040/44/25).
