Job Description

The Technical Engineer will report to the Bangalore Support Lead and serve as the key interface between Finastra clients and the organization. The role involves handling and resolving issues promptly, providing world-class customer experience. The Technical Engineer, a product specialist with technical competencies, will assist functional consultants and may perform testing on beta deliveries or fixes before they are released to customers.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer requests, addressing issues, questions, or assistance needs to ensure product utilization as per customer requirements.
  • Understand reported issues from a technical perspective and replicate scenarios in Finastra environments.
  • Perform technical investigations with root cause analysis and provide feasible solutions.
  • Update clients on issue resolution progress, ensuring timely resolutions and focusing on client satisfaction and product quality.
  • Participate in client meetings and WebEx sessions to ensure proper communication and expedite issue investigations.
  • Validate defects thoroughly to ensure described scenarios are fixed.
  • Build and provide simple scripts with senior colleagues’ assistance when necessary.
  • Write technical specifications and best practices documentation.
  • Escalate issues to the Team Leader or Manager when necessary.

Education and Skills

  • Academic Qualifications: B.E/B.TECH or MBA
  • Expertise in the Capital module and Derivatives.
  • Any functional domain/technical certification and .NET exposure would be an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eager to learn, share knowledge, with the right attitude, and a team player.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a customer-facing team.
